Wow!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! The story was engrossing and I could not put it down.The H is a very controlling, powerful, j/p (jealous/possessive), anti-H and a big-time alpha-hole. It's written in much the same way that the Fae Chronicles were with each book ending on a cliff and the next one continuing where the other left off. You fall in love with Lena when reading both Playing and Sleeping with Monsters - two book series. The first you get a crash course and learn what is going on and of course dreamy Lucian who we’ve met multiple times in Destiny series with Syn And Ryder. But every character you want to know their story-a craving to know why they are what they are. What made them this way? So many great lines in this book I highlighted because it not only touches the heart but the mind as well. Gosh. I so badly do not want to give away spoilers but my heart aches as Lena continues to fight for her family and the love she holds for them and her unwanted boyfriend Lucian. To see Lena & Lucian’s passion and explosive chemistry I was really loving Lena’s determination and spunk as she goes toe-to-toe against big scary powerful creatures, even word battles against Lucian. We still don’t know what Lucian is but to know that he does love Lena is priceless. I cannot wait to read the next chapter because we read Lena still has a purpose. I won’t say more because it will be a spoiler but I do like her constant love for her older brother Joshua and her craving of his presence. She really did love and admire her brother, her anchor, mentor, best friend. So I do recommend reading Amelia’s series in order but I must confess Lena replaced Syn as my favorite female in this series. Ristan still remains my favorite. Where as Syn is a badass, Lena is a character after my own heart. Family, Loyalty and Love with Honor are Lena’s key ingredients. I hate but love how this story ended but I’m curious to see where our author Amelia is taking this.
