This is probably the 2nd or maybe 3rd in terms of worst books in the series.I've ready every single book, heck I've read them all at least 3 times some of them more, when you compare the writing in this book to how much character is in book 6 - it's a little strange.This character, we haven't heard about before, we are introduced to both of these characters in this book. The pacing in this book was absolutely all over the place. It started out rather normal pacing for an Argeaneau book, however towards the end she just...sped things up so dramatically. This book could have used another 2 or 3 chapters at least.--MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD--I mean why did one chapter start with "several days later" then the chapter ends with them visiting her cottage, then the next chapter IMMEDIATELY AFTER start with "our time in the cottage was up" like HUH?What do you mean??? I feel like at least a chapter on some things from the cottage would have been nice? We got ZERO development of them as a couple, and in the end he basically just MANIPULATED HER into turning. I thought there was going to be some discussion but she just says 'fine whatever'Which honestly, the whole book became so against her character. We have seen other Life Mates with similar past come in, maybe not this exact one but their past lovers have hurt them in some way or another, and of course everyone reacts differently but I'm just at a loss for words how this person went through so much in her life then just him saying "I want to be with you, I like you" suddenly made her just melt and she was like "ah yes that's that I suppose" - It felt like her character development wasn't real? She didn't even really question a bunch of the stuff that was said it was just "oh okay so you guys are immortal" this whole ending felt INCREDIBLEY rushed, like the pacing at the start was so slow and now it's just over in 1-2 chapters at the end. I'm really disappointed and I super hope the next book is up to par because I have been waiting for that one for so long. I have purchased every book in this series and I love the story lines. This book really disappointed me. There is really nothing to the first 60% of this book . The story could have been really exciting but it wasn't. Sorry Lynsay Sands but I am used to action and different surprises in the story. That is not what happened in this book. Everyone who reads this series book for the first time will like it but the reader's who have read the other books will see a difference. I hope I can give you a wonderful review with your next Argeneau novel.
